Saturday, March 28, 1:00 PM we will have our annual log inoculation event at the Ferguson Township Community Hall (Lion’s Club)in Pine Grove Mills, PA
This event typically draws around 100 people, with the club inoculating approximately 120 logs each year. Each dues-paying member who attends and participates in this meeting will receive a log to take home at the end of the event.
Please note: participants are required to stay to help with clean-up. Plan on at least three hours.
Extra logs may be available for purchase at $20/log, with proceeds benefiting the club.
In 2026, we will inoculate logs with two different mushroom species: the WR46 strain of Shiitake spawn and oyster mushroom spawn from Field and Forest.
New members are welcome and can join at the meeting! Dues are $20 annually and can be paid via cash or check.
While there is an indoor space available for the instructional portion and for warm-up, the bulk of this event is held outdoors. Please dress for the weather. Also this is a hands-on workshop so you will want to wear work clothes – not your Sunday best.
Bring safety glasses if you have them. The club will have some to loan if you do not.
